Great Place… Best secret in the burgh
“The most beautiful house I’ve ever stayed in. Lived in the Shadyside area my whole life and never even knew it was there. Comfy beds, delicious breakfast (Gotta have the french toast… amazing!), friendly innkeepers… cant wait to stay there again…”— Paul
A Mansion for A Wonderful Treat
“Looking for a unique place to stay we found The Mansion in a secluded place in Pittsburgh – Shadyside. It was an experience to be repeated in the near future. The innkeepers, the chef, everyone was great and made our moments there unforgettable. The facilities are beautiful and the attention the best.”— Nicky
“Everything about our stay at the Mansion was wonderful. The employees are incredibly friendly and helpful, the historic mansion itself is gorgeous, and the made to order breakfast was top notch. Totally agreed with all the other rave reviews here. It feels like a beautiful getaway tucked away in the city, and we look forward to staying here again.
Great little gem in the middle of the city
“I’ve stayed at the Mansion on business as well as leisure trips. The Mansion sits atop a hill in Shadyside on a quiet street off of Fifth Avenue, a major thoroughfare in Pittsburgh. The rooms are clean and spacious; the staff is knowledgeable about the city and responsive. The owner is attentive and friendly. Breakfast is made to order, and is quite delicious. One of the aspects that I’ve most enjoyed is chatting with other guests; during my stays, I’ve met people from Argentina, the Netherlands, Arkansas, Ohio, and even a few miles away from my home in Maryland! I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and will definitely be back again.”— Obidimma
A Vacation to Remember
“My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday with an extended trip to Pittsburgh this past month, and staying at The Mansion made it one of our most memorable vacations ever. The house is gorgeous, the innkeepers are great, and the location is perfect. We spent five days exploring the city, and loved coming home each night. Restaurants are within walking distance along Walnut Avenue, and it’s only a short drive to the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, CMU, and Pitt. (And I also highly recommend Caliban Books and Union Grill on Craig Street, and a day trip to Fallingwater.)”— Christine
Now That Was Cool
“I recently visited Pittsburgh with friends of mine and decided to check out The Mansion. It looked great online. Unfortunately, when we got there, there was a party happening downstairs. It was a little loud, so the Inn Keeper, was so kind as to let us use the media room for the evening and watch Blu-ray movies on their giant movie screen. We watched Dark Knight and Indiana Jones in HD…it was better than being at the movies! Provided popcorn and drinks, too. It was a whole new level of hospitality… These people really care about their guests. Go see for yourself… Thanks for a wonderful weekend!”— Mel
Anxious to Return
“Thank you for a wonderful stay at your Bed and Breakfast. Everything surpassed our expectations. The managers on duty were very accommodating and courteous. We especially enjoyed breakfast!! We’re anxious to return. Sincerely”,— Keith and Sue M.
Best B&B I’ve ever seen
“I travel frequently and stay at B&Bs and this is by far the most unique I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve found my new regular hotel in Pittsburgh.”— Charles
